2017 Capital PKAL Regional Network Conference
Leadership and Collaboration Across Boundaries
Project Kaleidoscope and Morgan State University are pleased to announce the 2017 meeting of the Capital PKAL Regional Network: “Leadership and Collaboration Across Boundaries”. The meeting will be held April 14, 2017 at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Tuajuanda Jordan, President of St. Mary’s College of Maryland, will deliver the key note address. Dr. Jordan created the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Science Education Alliance and launched the SEA Phage program, which has since engaged thousands of undergraduates at more than fifty institutions across the country in bioinformatics and genomics research. Throughout her career, Dr. Jordan has led and been involved in many initiatives to increase diversity and inclusivity, encourage entrepreneurship, support and enhance academic excellence, and advance strategic planning, all of which have required collaboration across boundaries. Call for Proposals
Prospective presenters are invited to submit proposals that address evidence-based practices related to the themes below that can be widely adapted in 2- and/or 4-year institutes of higher education. Oral presentations (60 minutes total by a panel or single presenter, including 15-20 minutes of interactive participant discussion) and poster presentations are welcomed.
