Please join the Massachusetts PKAL Regional Network for a summer conference focused on ‘STEM students in the community and other high-impact teaching practices’.  Presentations and workshops that focus on service learning, community engagement, and STEM in society are encouraged.  Topics include:

  • Service learning in STEM courses
  • Crossing disciplinary boundaries in STEM and non-STEM courses
  • Society in STEM courses
  • Research in the introductory STEM classroom
  • Signature experiences for STEM students
  • STEM teaching ‘on the cheap’
  • Easing the two to four-year transition for STEM students
  • General high-impact practices

Registration is online. Registration is $50 per person and includes breakfast and lunch. The registration deadline is May 24.
