Directions to the Association of American Colleges and Universities

Metro:

• Take the red line to Dupont Circle.
• Take the Dupont Circle North exit (the Q Street exit).
• At the top of the escalator, turn right onto Q street, then cross Connecticut Avenue and continue another half block to 19th Street.
• Turn left on 19th Street and walk two blocks.
• Turn right on R Street
• AAC&U will be on your right, at 1818 R Street.

Driving Directions:

From Rockville, Md., and Points North

• Take Connecticut Avenue south.
• Right after Florida Avenue, move into the left lane and make a left-hand turn onto S Street. Proceed for two blocks.
• Make a right onto 18th Street. Proceed for two blocks.
• Make a right onto R Street.
• AAC&U will be on your left, at 1818 R Street.

From Fairfax, Va., and Points West

• Take Route 66 east to the Roosevelt Bridge.
• Once you cross the bridge, the road will become Constitution Avenue.
• Turn left on 18th Street.
• Follow 18th Street through the city (crossing Connecticut Avenue and Masschusetts Avenue) to R Street.
• Turn left onto R Street.
  
• AAC&U will be on your left, at 1818 R Street.

From Northern Virginia and Points South

• Take the Washington Beltway (Interstate 495) to Route 395 north.
• Exit onto Route 1, 14th Street. 
• Continue north on 14th Street through the city, and around Thomas Circle, to R Street.
• Turn left onto R Street.  Proceed about six blocks.
• AAC&U will be on your left, at 1818 R Street.

Public Parking

We advise taking the Metro to AAC&U. For visitors who are driving, garage parking is available at several locations nearby and metered parking is available on the streets.
